Synopsis: Good Friday morning! Today we discuss the remaining showers and storms forecasted to slowly move across the southern tier of the Ohio Valley today into early Saturday morning along a cold front, some of these may be strong with localized heavy rainfall and potential flash flooding. A much nicer pattern works in under high pressure Saturday and most of the day on Sunday…next chance for rainfall comes mainly to the south late Sunday night into Monday…all the details in today’s video. Have a blessed weekend!

Today’s video (7 min):

Some strong storms and localized heavy rainfall will be possible today especially across the southern tier of the forecast area:

Latest thinking on rainfall totals as the cold front sags to the south and east…as the showers push east across the central parts of the forecast area, drier conditions will work in the second half of the day here. Down south (mainly south of I-70) we see the potential for 1-3″ of total rainfall here…with that being said, if we get a storm to stall out these may increase to 3″+.

Here’s the week 1 updated outlooks for precipitation and temperature from normal…favoring the drier look further north across the Ohio Valley:
