Synopsis: Good morning! We are tracking snow and ice across northern Minnesota into southeastern South Dakota with some rain across southern Minnesota into central and northern Wisconsin. This will continue through the day today as it moves through the region. Some snow showers may linger even into tomorrow across northern Minnesota. Another system will bring rain and snow Sunday into Monday after a dry stretch Friday and Saturday. Another system looks to impact the central and southern portions of the forecast area through the middle and end of next week. Another threat through the start of May will be frost and freezes across the Dakotas and northern Minnesota. Have a wonderful day!

Current radar shows the mixed precipitation across Minnesota and Wisconsin this morning. 

Mixed precipitation will continue through the day today.

Snowfall looks to generally range from 2-4″ with locally up to 6″ in some spots. 

After some dry time Friday and Saturday, another system looks to impact the southeastern portion of the forecast area Sunday into Monday with some rain and even some wet snow. 

Total precipitation through midweek next week will range from 1-2 inches in the southeast to much, much less across the western Dakotas.

Temperatures over the next 2 weeks look much below normal, especially in week 1. This will continue frost and freeze threats unfortunately into May.

This active and cool regime looks to continue into much of May according to the new European weeklies that came out Monday. This is something we have been on top of for quite a while!
