Synopsis: An area of low pressure will bring some showers to southeastern areas today with dry conditions across the Dakotas. Some wintry precipitation is discussed in the video for Wednesday as well as for the weekend. Through the next week, the dry regime across the Dakotas looks to continue as dry high pressure with freeze threats continuing through early May. Have a great day!

  • Current radar shows a few showers across southwestern SD as well as northeastern Minnesota. They will spread northeast through the day.

  • As the area of low pressure moves northward tonight, some ice and snow will break out across northern Minnesota and the eastern Dakotas.

  • An additional wave moves into eastern areas Wednesday with some more rainfall as well.

  • Total liquid through Thursday looks to range from 0.50-1.50″ in eastern areas with less than 0.10″ expected across western North Dakota.

  • Behind these systems, it will dry out, but freeze threats will continue with low temperatures in the 20s. Here’s a look at Thursday morning.
  • Our next system comes Sunday into Monday with some snowfall possible across Minnesota and northern Wisconsin. We detail this more in the video below.
