#ILwx #INwx #OHwx Details on remaining snow showers today. K.

Synopsis: Good Saturday morning, and what a massive difference in weather since yesterday! We went from the 60s/70s to the 20s/30s this morning which we’ve been forecasting all week. I just wanted to briefly update everyone on the conditions for the remainder of the day into the overnight so you are covered. Snow showers and cloudy skies continue to persist across the Midwest, along with windy conditions gusting at times up to 25-30mph. Temperatures look to hang around in the 20s north of I-70 today, while folks to the south likely reach into the 30s and above freezing; temps overnight will dip back down into the 20s but we will respond with high temperatures back in the 40s tomorrow…so that “winter-feel” will be short lived for now.

Latest radar across the Midwest shows snow flurries to snow showers continue to move east this morning.

The energy should be out of Zones 3/4 by ~2pmEST which is when I’d expected the flurries to wind down as well. Some sunshine will be possible this afternoon as well as this energy moves off to the east.

I’m expecting some flurries to snow showers to persist at times across Zones 1/2 through the evening before shutting off as the energy moves off to the east. A few peaks of sunshine this afternoon will be possible as well.

Winds will be out of the northwest today, gusting up to 25-30mph at times…before calming down into this evening and overnight into Sunday. It will be tough for this snow to accumulate much because of these winds, but a dusting or coating of snow and a few slick spots are not impossible.

Temperatures will be mainly in the 20s north of I-70 today with some 30s possible to the south…overnight we get back into the 20s with highs in the 40s and slightly more mild on Sunday.

If you have any questions please let us know, stay warm out there today!
