Good morning! After a warmer day yesterday, today will feel like early Summer across interior areas, while a sea breeze keeps things cooler near the coast. Current temperatures are chilly across New England, but already into the 60s across Ohio!

Sunshine and warmth will be the story today – reaching into the 60s near the coast and into the 70s for the rest of the region. Today’s QuickCast has the details.

Here’s a look at approximate high temperatures for the day today.

A cold front will move into Ohio and western Pennsylvania tomorrow with showers, thunderstorms, and slightly cooler temperatures. The I-95 corridor will be quite warm, soaring into the upper 70s and lower 80s.

High temperatures tomorrow are typical for late June, not April! Notice temperatures are lower where some clouds and showers occur in western PA and Ohio.

The cold front will push eastward Wednesday with showers and a few thunderstorms. Here’s the GFS model.

Even still, another above normal day is expected along I-95, with seasonable conditions further west.

The remainder of the work week looks dry with seasonable temperatures. Our next threat for rain comes Saturday into Sunday as an area of low pressure passes to our northwest. Here’s the European model for that time frame.

As we get into the longer range, some cooler risks are on the table in week 2. Here’s a look at the latest week 2 temperature departure from normal forecast from our 3 most reliable models.

Precipitation during this time looks to be near or slightly above normal. The latest European ensemble shows this well.

Confidence and Risks:

  • High confidence on warmth early this week with a a few showers and storms Wednesday stifling the warmth.
