Central Plains Forecast Update: Overall quiet week ahead, watching the remnants of Harvey late week. N.

Key Points – Monday, August 28th, 2017:

Synopsis: Good Monday morning! Scattered showers continue to work across southeast Missouri this morning, otherwise it is a dry morning across the region as our weekend system continues to gradually move out.  Overall it remains rather quiet through much of the work week.  We will need to keep an eye on the remnants of Harvey slowly working northward through the week, with possible impacts to southeast portions of the area later this week.  More details in the video.  Have a great day, and let us know if you have any questions!

Week 1 temperatures and precipitation from normal:

Wind forecast over the next 4 days.  Not much wind over the next few days.  Watching for increased winds over southern Kansas/Missouri later in the week associated with the remnants of Harvey, as well as increased southerly winds in the western Plains.

Dewpoints from normal..overall a fairly dry air mass for most of the week, with some increased humidity north and west mid/late week.
