Good Sunday morning! After a spectacular day of weather on Saturday, changes arrive today with cloud cover and rain chances returning. Highest rain chances work in overnight into the first half of Monday, so timing may work in our favor. Once we get past this system, things look to clear out with a very nice mid-week ahead.
A few sprinkles have moved across the area early this morning. With some dry air still in place, it will be difficult to see much more than sprinkles through mid-day. Heading into the afternoon, this is when we will include a rain chance ~40%. Most models are bringing in light rainfall after 1pm. Not expecting anything heavy for the game, but be aware there will likely be scattered light showers moving into the area. Winds will be out of the southeast 5-15 mph with highs in the mid to upper 70s.
Much higher rain/storm chances arrive in the overnight hours tonight into Monday morning, then the majority of the rain moves out during the afternoon. This is great news for Monday evening as we should see mainly dry conditions and pleasant temperatures in the 70s. Just a small lingering shower chance at the beginning of the game, but overall it should be dry. Expect a north wind to develop during the afternoon and evening 5-15 mph.
A broad area of high pressure will build in from the north on Tuesday, bringing in dry conditions with lower humidity. Highs will reach the upper 70s/around 80º. Winds will be out of the northeast 5-15 mph.
Another great day on Wednesday with mostly sunny skies and dry conditions expected. We have taken out the small storm chance that was previously included, as all data is in agreement that it will stay dry with surface high remaining in control. Highs will reach the lower 80s, falling in the 70s during the game with comfortable humidity levels.
We will keep a small storm chance on Thursday, but it looks to stay mainly dry. The pattern will likely become more active just beyond Thursday. For the early afternoon game, expecting temperatures to reach the lower 80s with a bit more humidity. Winds will not be much of a factor, variable 5-10 mph.
Overall, a pretty good looking forecast setting up! Cannot beat these kind of temperatures in early August. Have a great day, and let us know if you have any questions.
