8-29-19 Kansas/Missouri: Targeting heavy storms tonight into Friday….additional rain to start the weekend, but trending drier thereafter. N.

Video:

A stormy night is coming for the eastern half of Kansas and the northern/western half of Missouri.  Here is a look at the forecast radar, showing the progression of a cluster of storms tonight.  This will bring potential for a swath of strong winds (isolated hail and tornadoes)…along with flash flooding.

Rain totals through noon Friday are very heavy.  We are expecting a widespread heavy rain for eastern Kansas, where some amounts will top 3-4″.

Additional rains target the area Friday night-Saturday, here is a look at rain totals through the weekend, largely ending by Saturday evening.  This is an average of several models and won’t be able to grasp the isolated heavier totals in eastern Kansas.
