Good morning everyone.  The heat continues today as we are currently under an excessive heat warning.  Heat index values will will approach 105 F today.  Here is a look at Heat Index values from 11 AM through 8 PM:

Today looks to be a dry day here in central Indiana.  On Sunday, a cold front begins to sweep southeast across the state.  Storms will begin to fire on this cold front in the afternoon.  These storms have the potential to be severe in nature with strong winds, hail, and heavy rain.  Here is a look at simulated radar tomorrow from 10 AM Sunday through 2 AM Monday.  Storms look to impact you in the afternoon hours (approximately 3PM – 7PM) as a cold front sweeps the area.

Here is a look at precipitation totals through Sunday night.  1″ – 2″  of accumulation will be possible.

Precipitation looks to linger on Monday but should begin to clear out as we get into the afternoon hours.  

The good news is that the weather begins to settle on Tuesday with cooler and calm conditions.  Highs look to be in the upper 70’s to lower 80’s for the remainder of the week!
