6-3-19 Northern Plains: Very warm and overall drier week….much cooler next week. N.

Today’s Video:

Total rain through Tuesday night: Best storm threat later today targets the central and western Dakotas, but keep in mind it will be hit and miss.  Isolated severe storms are likely as well.  The central and eastern locations will remain drier tonight, but have a better threat arrive Tuesday evening and night, with the best threat for Minnesota.  I think Tuesday night can bring some damaging wind with a couple storm clusters in Minnesota, with some locations getting a quick 1″ rainfall.

Wednesday-Friday are drier for us with a very scattered threat working through Wednesday night.  Next best chances for rain arrive next weekend, into early next week.  Forecast rainfall next 7 days (likely underdone in parts of Minnesota where isolated higher totals occur Tuesday night).

Weeks 1 and 2 temperatures: Very warm this week, but sharply cooler next week.

Weeks 1 and 2 precipitation: Overall maintaining a bit drier than normal.
