Here is a look at estimated rainfall through Sunday night. Note that there are still large model discrepancies during this period so the confidence in the rainfall forecast is low. While we lean towards the GFS solution (shown below) the European model is drier in the northern and western portions of Iowa. This is something we will have to keep our eye on going forward.
The storm prediction center has southern Iowa in a slight risk for severe weather tomorrow. Hail and wind will be the primary risk although an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.
