6-10-19 Indiana: Much drier/cooler air mass settling in this week….more active next weekend. N.

Video:

Showers will exit Eastern Indiana by 8am….with the threat for an isolated sprinkle brief shower mid-morning across the state….but overall it’s a dry day with skies clearing out by mid to late afternoon, along with a substantial drop in humidity.

Lows tonight drop deep into the 50s with clear skies and lightening winds.

Tuesday looks great!  Next shot for rain would arrive in northwest Indiana late Tuesday night – with a few showers mainly in western Indiana Wednesday.  Still think Wednesday is a mostly dry day.  Best threat for showers will come Wednesday night into the early morning Thursday, then most of Thursday dries out with increasing sun.  There is not going to be a lot of rain with this feature, with highest amounts northwest.  We think dry weather continues through Friday, then it gets much more active starting Saturday.  Here’s total precipitation for the next 5 days:

A frontal zone looks to set-up over the area this weekend, bringing much higher rain chances.  Signs point to 1″+ rain amounts coming….here is the precipitation out through early next week:
