500 Festival Forecast – Tuesday (5/23/17)
Synopsis: Good Tuesday morning! Below are the latest details for the events this coming Friday and Saturday. We have to preface, again, that if this system speeds up or slows down even 6 hours it could really change the forecast of when the rains come in. Current thoughts are the wave of energy looks to move in at the back-end of the event on Friday with the warm front, and then as the low pressure tracks into the Midwest Saturday rain chances increase as well.
Friday: We have a tricky forecast here as the rainfall chances all depend on when the warm front moves into the Midwest. Current thoughts are that most of the event on Friday should remain rain-free and then maybe on the back-end of the event some showers/storms will be possible.
High temperatures look to be in the mid-70s, however most of the event will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s.
Winds will mainly be out of the west at 5-10 mph, can’t rule out a gust of 15-20mph.
Saturday: We continue to see energy stream in here on for the Parade, so we are including a chance for showers and storms for this event.
Temperatures look to climb from the lower 60s into the upper 70s throughout the day.
Winds will start out of the southeast and end from the southwest at 5-10 mph, gusting at times to 15-20mph.
