500 Festival Forecast: Thursday (5/11/17)
Synopsis: Good Thursday morning! Little change to the forecast for this event over the past few days. Expecting temperatures to get into the mid to upper 60s during the day, light winds out of the northwest ~5-10mph with mostly sunny skies expected…although some afternoon clouds are not out of the question. No weather delays are expected.
Kid’s Day Forecast: Here’s a look at temperatures throughout the event from the European model below. We will start out the morning in the upper 40s to lower 50s and warm into the upper 60s throughout the day.
In terms of cloud cover, we will be mostly sunny throughout the event, can’t rule out some afternoon clouds working in. Here is a simulated cloud cover loop, the white color indicates clouds.
The wind forecast remains unchanged with winds mainly out of the north/northwest turning to the southwest later in the day at 5-10mph, gusting at times up to 20mph.
