Rain over past 24 hours:
Good morning! The rains for Central Indiana are not panning out for the most part this morning. In general, highest threat impacts southern Indiana counties as a wave of rain works along the Ohio River through the morning hours. Rains for central Indiana will be light and scattered. There will be some that don’t see any rain this morning. We’ll see a general drying trend this afternoon, then watch late afternoon for scattered storm risks in north-central Indiana, which will drop south into Central Indiana this evening into tonight. There is still the risk here for locally heavy rain with these…a few spots could get 1″…but it will be very hit and miss. Attached below is rainfall through this afternoon, then the additional rain from late afternoon into Friday morning:
Rain through 8pm:
Forecast rainfall tonight…don’t focus on exact location, but you can get the idea that local heavy rain is possible, but the idea that several of us also miss out.
Friday brings a clearing trend from north to south…southeast counties the best risk for a few additional showers through the day. Friday evening looks great for everyone! Saturday, a front brings another rain/storm threat coming from north to south through the day, highest risks from the afternoon and evening hours. Rainfall potential Saturday is generally 0.35″ to 0.75″, with isolated higher totals. Some areas south can stay a bit drier.
A blast of dry, calm, cooler weather takes hold from Sunday afternoon through Tuesday. Storm risks return next Wednesday.
