4-26-19 KS/NE Forecast: Getting windy into the weekend with several rain chances to target over the next week. N.

Scattered rain chances tonight, with isolated pockets of strong winds and large hail possible.

Our next system moves into the region mainly Sunday night.  This will bring the risk of a few severe storms across mainly Kansas with large hail and isolated damaging wind the biggest threat.  Total precipitation from late Sunday through Monday AM: Heavy rain threat Sunday night for east-central Kansas with 1-2″+ potential.

Active pattern continues next week.  We catch a lull Monday, then another round arrives for our Tuesday.  Later next week, the heaviest rounds will target Kansas, then drying out by next Friday.  7-day precipitation forecast:  East and central Kansas by far gets the heavier threat, with lower amounts under 1″ in Nebraska.
