Video (6:30):
Good Tuesday morning!
We’re watching another wave of energy that will produce additional snow accumulations tonight. Snow will initially show up on the radar later tonight, but we likely won’t saturate the atmosphere until around 10-11 PM EST when snow will begin to accumulate. As of now it looks like the main wave of snow will continue into tomorrow morning and taper off in eastern portions of Northern Indiana by 10AM EST tomorrow.
It does look like we’ll see some additional light lake effect bands as winds shift out of the north and northwest behind the main swath of snow. Scattered lake effect could last into the evening and night time hours tomorrow.
Temperatures for the Northern Districts will likely remain in the low 20s throughout the duration of tonight’s snowfall and begin to fall behind the snow tomorrow morning.
Many areas could pick up an additional 1-3″ with isolated higher amounts in areas that see those lingering lake effect snow showers into later tomorrow.
