10-31-19 Tovar NW Indiana (7 PM): Timing out the snow exiting tonight. MG.

Good Evening!

Here is our latest thoughts on the timing of the snow exiting.

Preferred model guidance through 11 PM.  Most of the snow will have exited by 11 PM.

Current Temperatures (as of 6:30 eastern time).  Areas around Gary are around the freezing mark, but we are still slightly above freezing in the South Bend area.

Preferred low temperatures for overnight into the morning.  Temperatures will continue to drop tonight.

Here is the preferred high temperatures for tomorrow.  Temperatures should rebound to above freezing, with plenty of sunshine.

Preferred snowfall totals remaining.  This model may be a touch on the aggressive side, and as we have previously mentioned, a good portion of this can get eaten up by pretreated surfaces, winds, and lingering above freezing temps.  But with the cooler temperatures, any moisture left on untreated surfaces will certainly refreeze.

Preferred wind guidance from 8 PM through 8 AM (eastern time).  Winds will remain breezy, but will gradually die down in the overnight.
