10-27-19 Tovar Chicago: Quiet weather today, snow looks to fall north late Monday/ early Tuesday. MG.

Good morning!  Here is your latest forecast update:

Past 24 hour rainfall accumulations.

Simulated radar from 6 AM Monday through 7 PM Monday.  A few very light showers/ sprinkles will be possible.  Not expected much in the way of accumulation.

There is a risk for fog across Chicago tomorrow morning.  Darker shades are indicative of fog.

Simulated radar from 7 PM Monday through 10 AM Tuesday.  Most of the snow looks to fall to your north during this event.  Could get a few flakes to fall closer to the Wisconsin border, but warm surface temperatures will limit any accumulation.  This looks to be mostly a rain event for Chicago as things stand now.

Preferred snowfall totals through 10 AM Tuesday.

Rainfall totals through 10 AM Tuesday.

As we have been discussing for awhile, we need to watch the system on Halloween for snow potential in the Chicago area.  Right now, the models are not very aggressive with snow for Chicago and have the majority of precipitation falling as rain.  Still much uncertainty this far out.
