Today’s Iowa Forecast:

Windy today especially over the western half of the state, with wind gusts of 35-45 mph in the advisory areas.  Windy northwest winds across the state tonight and through the day Tuesday as a storm system deepens over the Great Lakes.

A few scattered showers possible today through Tuesday morning.  As temperatures drop in the mid/upper 30s Tuesday morning a few snow flakes/sleet pellets may mix in.

Nice weather builds in on Wednesday with less wind, milder temps, and dry conditions.  A strong cold front moves through late Thursday and will make for another windy period as temperatures tank!

Temperature forecast animation from late Thursday through next weekend – widespread freeze likely.
