Clarity by BAM Weather saves 5 firework nights, multiple game nights for the Salem Red Sox.

Will Cole has been with the Salem Red Sox for two seasons as the Director of Field Operations. Managing field operations in the minor league can be a challenging job and weather plays a major role in that often proving stressful on a nightly basis.

However, a big piece of stress has been lifted off Cole’s shoulders since the Red Sox began to utilize Clarity by BAM Weather.

“One of the hardest things in my job is the weather, and to have that stress off of me is so nice,” Cole explained.

Like many organizations, weather apps start to multiply when trying to fully understand the weather. Organizations will often try to compare weather apps and try to come to a consensus based on that. With Clarity, clients are able to communicate with BAMWX.com meteorologists and obtain expert forecast analyses, any time.

“The chat function is hands down, top of the market,” Cole concluded.  “I’ve had other services and the comparison is not even close. It’s great to have a meteorologist available 24/7. They’ve helped us make decisions on tarping, delays, and cancellations.”

For many organizations, and especially baseball games, time is of the essence regarding weather. With that information, BAM Weather’s meteorologists have been trained to respond to clients within minutes.

“We’ll message the meteorologists on the field on the way to the locker room, a 5 minute walk, and by the time I’m there we have a forecast,” Cole explained. “The biggest thing that separates this service from others is that the meteorologist always replies within 90 seconds, that’s huge because we’ll be looking to make a decision within minutes and we have to know fast, with BAM Weather we always do.”

Paying for weather with so many free sources available may seem unusual for some, but Cole notes that the cost of Clarity easily pays for itself.

“If we can save one firework night, the service pays for itself,” Cole said. “And you guys have saved 5 firework nights and several games.”
