BAMWX selected to serve as weather provider for Zionsville Community Schools

Greenwood, Ind. – BAM Weather (BAMWX.COM) announced today that it was selected in September to serve as the weather provider for Zionsville Community Schools, providing forecasting and weather monitoring for the district’s outdoor activities and guidance on winter and severe weather that could impact students, staff, transportation, special events, and more.

“We are excited to be supporting Superintendent Robison and his staff with weather impact on school operations,” said Michael Clark, co-owner and head meteorologist at BAMWX. “Contracting with BAMWX is providing their staff with current and accurate information when making critical decisions involving weather. Our team of meteorologists provides the Zionsville staff with an actionable daily forecast for their schools followed by continuous monitoring and communications regarding any weather-related concerns,” Clark added.

BAM Weather Service provides real-time data in addition to forecasts, allowing ZCS leaders to adjust schedules and timelines after making informed procedural decisions based on approaching weather. “We are enthusiastic new affiliates with BAMWX,” said Zionsville Community Schools Superintendent Scott Robison. “They have already assisted us mightily with pinpoint forecasting during autumn storms and early winter weather situations. We have grown rapidly and are now large enough to have multiple simultaneous events, field trips, and upcoming activities that involve having our students and staff moving about here in our district and around other parts of Indiana. BAMWX helps us with decision making, explanations to our patrons, and best of all, a new layer of sophistication in planning and responding to keep students safe.”
