#ILwx #INwx #OHwx Week Ahead Forecast: Stormy, warm and wet? Details here! K
Synopsis: Good Sunday morning and thanks for checking out the week ahead forecast! We love doing these to kind of help you get a quick and easy run-down of what’s happening this week so you can plan around the weather. We discuss possible strong storms overnight as well as a wet and warm week ahead.
Simulated radar of showers/storms overnight…some hail and gusty winds will be possible across eastern Iowa, the northern half of Illinois even western IN locations as well. Can’t rule out a severe thunderstorm warning.
Latest SPC Day 1 marginal risk…overall we agree with the placement of where storms may fire up overnight.
Still keeping an eye on additional showers and storms throughout the Midwest late week/early weekend as we touch on in the video. Overall the next 7 days will feature slightly above normal warmth and an uptick in rainfall especially west.
Confidence and Risk:
- Above average confidence of showers and storms overnight from west to east…a few may be strong with some hail.
- Above average confidence overall the Midwest sees above normal temps this week.
- Increasing confidence of another shower and storm threat late week into the weekend…a system we are watching closely.
- Above average confidence the pattern turns very active over the next 2 weeks as the Pacific jet is gearing up.
