Today’s Video:
Good Thursday morning everyone! Another quiet start to the day across the region, but a very chilly start with some areas in Northern Minnesota dipping below freezing.
We will see scattered showers and storms develop between 1 PM today and into 1 AM tonight in far northern areas. Not a widespread rain event, a narrow band of 0.1-0.25″ of rain, with very localized higher amounts of 0.5-1.0″.
Wouldn’t rule out a few gusty showers or storms with a good amount of low-level winds. A few spotty showers possible in Eastern ND overnight. With a better risk of scattered storms developing tomorrow for the northern third of North Dakota and perhaps into NW Minnesota (but drier air will limit coverage):
A warm front will work into the area late Saturday and could lead to a very weak line of showers in the Western Dakotas, with the better chance of some showers and storms late Sunday and into Monday in Northern ND and NW Minnesota.
Overall, it’ll be a drier week and the European data is even a bit overdone with storms today and tomorrow in Central and NW ND:
