In the near term, we watch Friday morning for a band of heavy rain to set-up over the north-central/east portions of the state, where we have a “moderate” risk of excessive rainfall in the red, and slight in the yellow.
More widespread rains/flood concerns will work into the state Friday. Expecting a focus of heavier showers across north-central portions of the state to develop Friday morning, with the band lingering there for much of the day. As the remnants of “Gordon” start to work north Friday afternoon/night rain expands central and south, with the focus of heavy rain Friday night shifting to the southeast 2/3rds of the state where the “center” of Gordon tracks through.
