Multiple day flood threat setting up, especially Friday through Saturday as post tropical storm Gordon works into the area and interacts with a frontal boundary over the state. Areas in red (left image valid for Friday, right image for Saturday) is where we see the greatest flood concerns, but much of the state in play for the heavy rain threat.
These forecast radar time-stamps below can give you a good idea of where the storm focus will be from tonight through Friday night. Heavy rain concerns really ramp up for Friday.
There is potential for very heavy rain over the next 5o hours, especially central and east. Some areas see 2-4″+ (locally 6-8″) through Saturday morning. I think the models shown below is getting a good handle on where the heavier pockets set-up.
Rainfall from now through the weekend: We clear the rain out later on Saturday with dry conditions for Sunday.
