9-6-18 IA/NE/KS Forecast: Additional rain southeast through FRI night….a nice weekend expected! N.

We watch for additional scattered rain chances mainly south of I-80 over the next 2 days.  Scattered over Kansas, more numerous to the east particularly across southern/southeast Iowa where we need to watch for additional heavy rain/flash flood risks especially after midnight tonight through mid-afternoon Friday.  Here are the forecast radar time-stamps for Friday:

Rainfall guidance over the next 60 hours….most of this would fall from today through Friday evening.  

Excessive rainfall outlook tonight shows far southeast Iowa in a slight risk for excessive rainfall.

7-day rainfall: Keep in mind some of this rain has already fallen across eastern Kansas and southeast Iowa.
