Good morning everyone. No notable changes to the forecast from yesterday, we are still eyeing a broken area of storms that is likely to develop as we push into the evening and into the early overnight hours. Some of these storms could be locally strong to severe with strong wind gusts the greatest threat, though isolated large hail or an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out especially to our north:
We’ll likely start to see storm risks increase for IMS around 9PM continuing through midnight. Behind this front, cooler and drier air will work in and we likely see nice conditions for mid-week. Here’s a look at the latest 7 day outlook:
We continue to keep an eye on Sunday very closely. Data is still highly variable for rain chances, but still think areas along and north of Indy especially stand a chance to see rain – so we’re going to keep the precipitation risks in the forecast. This isn’t looking like a major storm threat, with a lack of instability producing mostly rain. Here’s a look at 7 day rainfall:
