Good Tuesday morning everyone! Rain showers are working through Eastern Southern Dakota and into SW Minnesota this morning. The heavier area of showers is on the south side of the rain swath with some lighter rain on the northwest side. This rain continues to push Northeast throughout the day:
Here’s a look at the simulated radar for today. Note, we’ll see a wave of energy work into the Dakotas especially this afternoon which will spawn some additional rain showers and elevated storms even into Western Minnesota this evening:
We’ll clear out overnight and temperatures will drop into the 30s for much of the Dakotas tonight. This will certainly lead to frost risks especially in low lying areas over night tonight. Here’s a look at temperatures over the next 4 days:
We do have wind advisories in effect for NW SD and SW ND today with wind gusts up to 45 MPH this afternoon.

We’ll have another wave of energy work in Thursday and bring more rain chances from the Western Dakotas and into South Dakota with additional light waves possible Thursday and Friday in NW ND and Northern Minnesota:
