Video:

Watching for the potential of a few stronger to locally severe storms today.  Your highest potential (greatest instability/wind energy) will be situated in southeastern Iowa and northeast Missouri.

Forecast radar through the day:

Total rainfall through tonight:  Highest rain amounts setting up near I-80 across Iowa with a swath of 0.50″-1″ amounts.  Outside of that, not a whole lot of rainfall for the area.

As mentioned in the video, additional showers target Iowa mainly as we head into late Thursday night through Friday.  Rainfall over the next 7 days shown below.

Expecting quite an incredible gradient in the temperatures by Friday with a front slicing the area.  Once side of the front will near 80º, while areas behind the front struggle to get out of the 40s in spots!!!  Which side are you on?? 🙂

Keeping a close eye on temperatures for Saturday morning across Iowa, as a relatively widespread frost is becoming a bigger possibility.
