Today’s severe storm threat: Damaging winds and tornadoes the biggest threats. 3pm-10pm will be the main time-frame of concern.
Forecast radar snapshots from 4pm-1am shows the progression of storms from west to east, then a weakening trend as the move into eastern/southeast Iowa through the night.
Additional rainfall over the next 24 hours: Band from near Hastings to Lincoln, Omaha, up through northwest Iowa of 0.50″-1.00″ (locally more), very little additional rain west of the front in central/western Nebraska. Also not expecting much rainfall in southeast Iowa as the storms will weaken significantly as they move southeast overnight.
