Today’s Video:
Good Tuesday morning everyone. We have showers and storms that are continuing to work through Southern Minnesota this morning. These combined with yesterday’s storms have put down up to isolated amounts of 4″ of rain.
As these storms weaken and push off to the south and east, we’ll likely get additional development in SE South Dakota and eventually into Minnesota this afternoon and evening. We’ll get a brief break late this evening before more storms develop overnight along the frontal boundary in far Southern/SE SD and SW Minnesota. Persistent rounds of storms could lead to isolated pockets of 4″ of rain.
Rain chances will begin to lift north throughout the day on Wednesday as the ridge expands with rain into portion of NE SD, SE ND and Central Minnesota. Eventually rain will settle back in south with training of storms possible overnight on Wednesday and a flash flooding threat possible.
More rain is likely on Thursday as the low pressure system lifts north. Very cool rain on the northwest side of the low, with a possible line of severe storms late Thursday afternoon and Thursday evening in SE Minnesota with hail and winds being the main threat before the system moves out by Friday morning:
