Video:

Good morning.  Watching a band of showers and isolated storms working across central portions of the state from Hyannis to Thedford to Anselmo.  Current radar at 8:45AM CDT:

Forecast radar through the day shows this activity moving east through the day, then drier conditions for many later today.

Sharp temperature gradient today from another scorcher south to pleasant air north with a front dividing the state.

As mentioned in the video, waves of scattered showers/storms possible in northern areas tonight, but heaviest focus remains just northeast of the state.  Better chances for scattered showers and storms arrive mainly in the western half of the state Wednesday night, then working east Thursday along the cold front.  Here is the total rainfall forecast between now and Thursday 1pm CDT.  No real rain concerns for southeast areas (Hastings/Lincoln) until Thursday night as the cold front finally passes, but the amounts will be rather light.

Nice weather works in for Friday and likely continues for much of the weekend.  Here is a look at the 7-day rainfall:

As mentioned, a nice cool-down for everyone by the end of the week, then another shot of cooler air next week after a weekend warm-up.
