Today’s Video:

Good Monday Morning everyone, showers and storms are working through South Dakota this morning and will continue to push off to the ENE throughout the day today and round the ridge eventually into Southern Minnesota. Some elevated storms with small hail are certainly possible with perhaps a few storms containing some large hail in Southeastern South Dakota and Southern Minnesota this afternoon.

Another round of storms will develop overnight tonight ~12 AM – 2AM in Southern Minnesota and bring the risks for strong storms with gusty winds and some hail as well as heavy rainfall.

Here’s a look at rainfall by tomorrow morning:

These storms start to push out tomorrow morning and will be replaced by a new storm cluster that develops after mid-day tomorrow in South Dakota and pushes into Minnesota. General west to east flow aloft will lead to training of storms and a very heavy rain threat.

As this cluster moves out late tomorrow evening another cluster will develop along the boundary Tuesday night into Wednesday morning in the same general area or just south enhancing the flash flood risks in storms. Rain will also increase for the state of South Dakota on Wednesday with more storms likely developing into Minnesota and SE ND throughout the day.
