Good morning everyone. The weak boundary we have been discussing throughout the week that could produce some light showers is working into Northern Indiana this morning. Generally, only very light, scattered showers have developed with this and we don’t anticipate much more throughout the day. Here’s a look at the current radar:
There remains a risk for an isolated shower or some sprinkles later this morning and this afternoon but chances are low and for the most part you will be dry today.
We continue to keep a very close eye on Sunday as an area of upper-level energy passes through the region. Lack of low-level moisture will limit the coverage and intensity of precipitation at first, but I do think a broken area of showers are possible especially after 2-3 PM continuing into the overnight hours on Sunday. These will be light showers and there can be dry time, it will just be a scenario where we need to watch radar when they develop to see where exactly the broken showers line up in relation to the IMS. Luckily, there is a no instability, so lightning does not look to be a concern. Here’s a look at the simulated radar from 11 AM Sunday to 2 PM Monday:
