Good Thursday morning! Weather headlines shown below:
Not seeing much of any weather concerns through the weekend. As mentioned in the video, there could be some low clouds or drizzle developing in northern Nebraska Friday, otherwise much of the region sees partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. Our quiet weather is thanks to a building upper-level high pressure. This keeps any weather systems deflected away from the area.
As mentioned in the video, we start to work in a front to northern areas next week. This front will stay in the same area for several days, but the question is where. Through the middle of next week, best rain risks set-up in northern parts of the area, then gradually increasing later next week into the following weekend as the front eventually starts to work southward. We do have well above normal rain forecast for the week 2 time-frame in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa.
