8-8-19 Trenton Thunder: Latest details on scattered storm threat this afternoon. Drier weekend. B.

Today’s Video:

Good morning everyone! Today won’t be quite as active across the region, but we still have some instability and a weak front that will progress through the area leading to some scattered storm chances. We’ve upped the coverage of storms this afternoon/evening from 20% to 40% given a more stout low-level wind energy which will help enhance the coverage a little bit. Winds will also gust today up to 25 MPH at the surface. The best risk for storms will likely come from 6 – 9PM but a rogue storm can’t be ruled out from 2 – 6PM. Here’s a look at the simulated radar throughout the day today:

Rain amounts in these storms will likely range from 0.25 – 0.75″ and a few strong storms cannot be ruled out with wind the main issue but some hail also not out of the questions.

As we work into tomorrow we should begin to dry out. An isolated shower can’t 100% be ruled out but chances are very low. Dry air should then dominate the weekend and you should see nice conditions to close your home stretch. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out! Have a great day.
