Observed rainfall guidance over the past 24 hours with localized heavy rainfall and strong winds from Bismarck to areas east of Pierre and points down to the south of ~0.75-1.5″+:
Severe storm reports from that strong storm cluster that moved through last night into the overnight from Bismarck to Pierre and points south…carrying with it quite the damaging wind and hail threats along the skinny path south:
Rainfall potential in the short-term through Friday morning is below…very isolated storms possible in central to eastern MN today otherwise dry for Minnesota…mainly focused in southern SD showing pockets of 0.25-0.75″ (iso 1.0-1.5″ in spots). Areas in NW ND from Crosby to New Town and southwest see a total of ~0.1-0.3″ ending by early afternoon today turning dry in this period of the short-term:

Total moisture risks through Tuesday night week…showing, as mentioned in the video, the increasing threats for multiple storm clusters threats almost every day starting late week into next week. Western to central ND posing the risks for 0.5-1.5″, eastern SD 0.5-1.5″ total and central MN 0.5-1.5″ as well as a good base (locally higher amounts of 2-3″+ will be on the table where the storms are more stronger in nature):
