Check out the accumulated rainfall over the past 24 hours. Heaviest rain noted across northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa, some of these areas certainly needed the rain.
Severe storm risk across portions of northeast Missouri and across the southern and eastern half of Iowa this evening. Timing would be 5pm-12am CDT, with the highest risk 7-11pm. I circled in orange where I believe the greatest severe risk sets up based on current analysis. Storms can produce isolated tornadoes, along with pockets of strong winds and hail.
