Forecast rainfall through 9am Saturday…most widespread activity falls before 5pm today in southern counties, where an elevated flash flood risk continues through the day.
Saturday will bring lower coverage of rain for southwest Missouri, but we’ll continue to see some widely scattered activity around Springfield to Nevada and southwest. After midnight Saturday night-Sunday, we’ll see an increase in scattered rain and storms over western Missouri, from there working east through the day Sunday, with highest rain amounts in southwest counties. Here is the forecast rain from late Saturday night-Sunday:
This disturbance works east and will spread scattered rain from St. Louis to Poplar Bluff Sunday night, then on Monday we’ll have several dry hours before a cold front arrives Monday night with a scattered line of showers and storms. This will largely exit east of here on Tuesday. Total rain Sunday night-early Tuesday is shown below. Bear in mind confidence on rain totals here is a bit lower than normal, so be sure to check back for updates!
