Good Friday morning. Very heavy storms continue across southeast Kansas this morning. These will gradually move off to the southeast later this morning. Additional light showers moving into eastern Iowa wrapping around an upper-level low.
Rainfall accumulation over the past 24 hours shown below. Excessive rains have fallen across southeast Kansas last night where storms have continued to train and redevelop over the same locations. The area just east of Eureka, KS has picked up 6″ of rain!!! This was way more than any computer model suggested. This takes the wording “locally higher” to a whole new level. 😉
