Good Thursday morning everyone! We’re watching a cluster of storms that are working through NW Iowa this morning. These likely continue to push to the NE and into far SE SD and SW Minnesota into the early afternoon hours:

Here’s a look at the total rainfall from the HRRR over the next 24 hours. Note, some areas that are impacted by the cluster of storms in SW MN and perhaps near Sioux Falls could see a bit more rain than depicted by the model:Here’s a look at temperatures over the next 4 days: 

Another front will work into the area as we get into late Saturday and Sunday. This likely produces additional storm clusters and rain risks especially for South Dakota and Southern Minnesota. Leaning with the GFS solution right now given weak energy in North Dakota and Northern Minnesota with more scattered activity in that area:
