8-14-18 Central Plains: Update on the rainfall/storm potential over the next couple of days. N.

Good afternoon!  Wanted to send a quick update regarding the forecast over the next few days via new data coming in.  We continue to see scattered showers and isolated storms spin around an upper low centered over eastern Kansas.  Past 2-hour radar loop ending at 12:22PM CDT shown below:

Forecast radar from 1pm this afternoon through 7am Wednesday shown below.  

A strengthening southwest flow just above the surface will continue to pump in more moisture across southwest and southern Missouri overnight into Wednesday.  This will allow for a more widespread and heavier concentration of rain here.

Going through the day Wednesday, we see the focus for showers and storms shift into Missouri, with our next main area to watch across northern Nebraska for increasing storms starting during the afternoon and continuing through the overnight, working southeast into Thursday morning across northeast Nebraska:
