Good Monday Morning!
Here is today’s latest video:
A quick check on the radar shows that we are looking at some very light and very isolated precip, mainly situated on the eastern borders of the state:
A look at rainfall over the past 72 hours shows that we certainly have seen some decent rains over the weekend, most notably in the Eastern 2/3 of the state:
Throughout the day today, we are not expecting a whole lot of precipitation today. We think that overall today is a nice day. There can be some isolated showers in the E third of the state, however these seem to be very isolated and not looking to cause too many issues. Below is a simulated radar loop from 10 AM CT until 7 PM CT this evening:
Tonight and into tomorrow look to be dry, we really don’t run into any real rain chances across the state until Tue evening, which is focused in the SW part of Nebraska. Some of these storms can be stronger, however this is not going to be something that affects the entire state. Below is simulated radar from Noon Tuesday until Midnight:
A look at precipitation guidance out through Thursday afternoon. We think that SW Nebraska is the spot that can see the best shot at precip out until Thur PM, however this is isolated as showers and storms will be hit and miss for the middle part of the week. There can be some spotty shower activity for the E third of the state as mentioned in the video, but overall this looks to be a drier stretch of weather compared to what we saw over the weekend:
