Good Monday Morning!
Here is a look at your latest video update:
A current look at radar:
Kansas- most activity is centered in the W part of the state, however this is pretty light precip that does not look to accumulate to much:
Missouri- Our heavier area of rain is further E into IL now, and only areas in Northeast MO along the MO/IL border are seeing precipitation:
Radar estimated rainfall over the past 72 hours. We have seen some pretty impressive totals in NW KS and North Central MO, the southern parts of both states staying relatively dry with only some scattered activity:
.
Looking at today, we think that there can be some isolated storms in S Kansas and S Central MO, along with the NE tip of of MO. We think these are isolated storms, and the better chances for more coverage comes as we go into the evening hours. Below is simulated radar from 10 AM CT today until 7 PM CT this evening:
Overnight Monday into Tuesday and then Tuesday morning we are watching for those storms in S KS and S MO to be hanging around before eventually fading as we work later into the afternoon on Tuesday. Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, we are keeping an eye on NW KS for some storms that look to be scattered and not a widespread event impacting the entire state:
Precipitation guidance out through Tuesday evening at 7 PM CT. As mentioned in the video, we are expecting much of the precip coming in the S parts of the states. We will watch for some scattered activity in NE MO today and into tonight, and then we are watching NW KS for isolated activity on Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning:
