Good Sunday afternoon!
A current look at radar shows that we are looking at dry weather across the state:
We expect this trend to continue, with only seeing some extremely isolated showers in the middle part of MN into the evening and overnight hours. Here is a look at modeled simulated radar from 4 PM CT this evening until 7 AM CT tomorrow:
We start to work in the chance of precip tomorrow morning around sunrise in the W part of the state as our next round of rain will be coming from the Dakotas. Here is a look at upper level energy tomorrow afternoon. Right now this does not look to be an all day, statewide, washout. We are looking at two areas of stronger upper level energy, one in the northern third of MN, and another in the southern third of MN:
A look at simulated radar from until 10 AM CT Monday until 7 PM CT Monday evening. We think this model may be a touch overdone with the coverage of the precip, but current thought is that this is an overall lighter rain that is not going to produce high totals across the state:
High temperatures tomorrow look to be in theupper 60s/ low 70s for the northern half of the state and highs in the low to mid 80s for the rest of MN:
A look at precip out through tomorrow evening at 7 PM CT. The areas in black are two areas that we think could see more precip than what this model is depicting. Currently this does not look to be anything extremely heavy, but there is enough upper level energy moving over these areas during the day tomorrow afternoon/ evening to where we think the potential for some precip is on the table. We are currently favoring 0.25 inches to 0.5 inches, with some amounts locally higher:
