Observed rainfall over the past 24 hours:

Rainfall guidance in the short-term is below through Saturday morning…we anticipate most of the rain to be focused more across eastern Kansas, but there is a risk for areas like Butler to Joplin to see locally heavy rainfall of ~0.5-1.5″…and if the wave pushes a touch further east those totals can creep near the KS border to 2-3″ (lower confidence there, however). We think there’s a bit of some model feedback with its rainfall solution across central MO trying to suggest some scattered light showers…it’s not impossible, but the forecast here is rather dry with little to no rainfall risk ahead into early week under surface high pressure:

We look to stay completely dry virtually Saturday to Monday across the state with increasing temps…watching late Monday night into Tuesday for a weak, broken line of showers/storms along a cold from to work in north to south…totals will likely be variable and on the lighter side with how things are looking at this time:
