Observed rainfall over the past 24 hours…very dry for most of us:

Total forecast rainfall guidance through Thursday afternoon is shown below.  Very dry for most locations…a few light showers possible in far SW Minnesota and southern South Dakotas as the showers run into drier air heading further east. The far western Dakotas  down into southern South Dakota pose a rise to see scattered 0.5-1″ in spots:

As mentioned in the video, this is the rainfall solution that we overall favor through the weekend, which shows very dry conditions persisting especially across eastern SD to the southern half of MN as more frequent troughs cuts off / suppresses moisture flow here…areas that see rain ~0.25-0.75″ but still in a scattered fashion…most of the entire area will run below normal with rainfall ahead through the weekend:
