As mentioned, storm chances are low for much of the region today outside of an isolated storm developing.  As we head into the evening and tonight, main chances for scattered showers/storms would be northwest parts of the area.  For Wednesday, the risk will shift further east from central Nebraska to northwest Iowa mainly during the evening into Thursday morning.  

Heat advisories for parts of the region today through Wednesday as the heat continues.

Total rainfall through late week is shown below.  It’s a drier pattern this week, with rain amounts scattered through late week.  Best focus in areas such as northwest Iowa and also across southern Nebraska into west-central Kansas for best rain chances.  

High temperatures over the next 4 days:  After brutal mid-week heat, a relax in the heat comes behind the late week cold front.  

Low temperatures over the next 4 days:  Expect low temperatures to trend cooler Friday through the weekend.  

Dewpoints over the next 4 days:  Much drier air behind late week cold front.
