7-28-19 Nebraska: Short Term Update Through Monday Evening.V.

Good Sunday afternoon!

A quick peek at radar shows that we are watching some showers and storms in the E part of the state with a lone cell in the NW corner of Nebraska:

We expect this precip in E Nebraska to slowly march its way out of the state over the next couple hours. We think that there can be some lingering showers and storms for the rest of the evening and overnight hours, mainly in the E half of the sate, but should start to clear out by tomorrow morning. We think there is some potential for some storms to be strong or severe in the NE corner of the state tonight. All forms of severe weather are possible (hail, damaging winds, isolated tornado, flash flooding) in any of these storms.A look at modeled radar from 5 PM CT tonight until 9 AM CT tomorrow:

Tomorrow looks like a dry day for the majority of the state. Highs should be in the low 80s for the northern half of the state and highs in the mid to upper 80s for the southern half of the state:

Tomorrow evening we will have to watch for the chance of some very scattered activity. Here is a look at simulated radar at 5 PM tomorrow. There is no organized line of precip that will be moving through, but the small chance of something popping in the late afternoon/early evening is possible:

Rainfall guidance out through 7 PM CT Mon. Rainfall amounts will be centered on the eastern portion of the sate as seen on radar, with the exception tomorrow late afternoon and evening of an isolated pop up storm. Amounts can certainly be higher than what is shown if you are caught under a strong cell. While it does not to look to be widespread at all, an inch + can fall in a short amount of time with any of these stronger cells:
